1. Belcastel: a postcard village

3. La Couvertoirade: a journey to the heart of the Larzac
Head to the wide open spaces of the Larzac plateau to discover La Couvertoirade.
Surrounded by ramparts, this fortified village has a history closely linked to the Templars and then the Hospitallers. By crossing its doors, you will discover a remarkably preserved architectural ensemble: stone houses, narrow alleys, old fortifications and historical vestiges.
La Couvertoirade also offers a completely different side of Aveyron. Here, the landscapes are vast, wild and open to the Causses.

6. Saint-Côme-d'Olt: a remarkable medieval heritage
A few kilometres from Espalion, Saint-Côme-d'Olt stands out for its particularly well preserved medieval character.
The village is surrounded by ramparts and has several fortified gates that still allow us to imagine its organization in the Middle Ages. Its church is also remarkable thanks to its twisted bell tower, an astonishing silhouette that is part of the architectural features of the village.
Strolling in Saint-Côme-d'Olt is to take the time to discover a rich heritage while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the Lot valley.
7. Sauveterre-de-Rouergue: a charming bastide
In the heart of Ségala, Sauveterre-de-Rouergue offers a different atmosphere from previous villages.
This old medieval bastide is organized around a magnificent central square lined with arcades. Its architecture reflects the organization of bastides in the Middle Ages, thought around a central space intended for exchanges and daily life.
