With its wild landscapes, the trails of the Larzac plateau, charming historic villages, and exceptional panoramic views, this event has become a must-attend occasion for those who love running in the great outdoors.
Why not take advantage of your participation this year to also discover the joys of a getaway focused on relaxation?
L’Hivernale des Templiers: A Story Born in Aveyron
L’Hivernale des Templiers was established in 2017 in Roquefort-sur-Soulzon. The concept emerged following a race held inside one of the Roquefort cellars, which inspired the organizers to create a new winter event in the Larzac region.
Since then, the race has offered participants the chance to discover a different side of Aveyron, set against an authentic, sporty, and friendly backdrop.
What distances are available at L’Hivernale des Templiers?
One of the event’s key strengths is its variety of formats, ensuring that everyone can find a challenge suited to their skill level and personal goals.
For the 2026 edition, taking place on December 5th and 6th in Roquefort-sur-Soulzon, the following routes are offered:
67 km for those who love long distances and endurance challenges.
36 km for trail runners seeking a substantial challenge.
26 km for athletes looking to push their limits.
18 km and 17 km as intermediate options.
13 km for a more accessible race.
A 13 km night race for a unique, different experience.
A 5 km hike, allowing participants to enjoy the scenery at a more leisurely pace.
The routes traverse the region’s signature landscapes: the vast open spaces of the Larzac, natural trails, the rugged terrain of the *causse* (limestone plateau), and the area surrounding Roquefort.
Whether you are an experienced runner or a fan of trail running, there is a distance to suit everyone.
